Lake Helen Tour of Historic Homes
Entertainment Schedule


This year's Tour of Historic Homes promises to be an exciting one. As in the
years before, there will be a schedule of live holiday musical entertainment
furnished by accomplished vocalists and instrumentalists at Hopkins Hall,
where the tour attendees check in and stop for refreshments.

Saturday, December 3:
12:30 p.m., the first musical group will be the string quartet, String
Speak, presented by Lake Helen resident Beth Miskell.
1:15 p.m., Sims Klein playing the historic grand piano with a collection of
holiday favorites.
2:15 p.m., Don Waldrop's Nice 'n Easy, featuring vocalist Barbara
Rutherford, previewing some of the music for the Lake Helen Christmas
Concerts on Sunday, December 11 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the City Hall
Auditorium.
3:30 p.m., Deland's renowned male chorus, Great Expectations, with their
special Holiday music plus other favorites.

Sunday, December 4:
1:15 p.m., Sims Klein playing holiday favorites on the historic grand piano.
2:15 p.m., the brass quintet, Lake Helen Brass performing some of the music
for the Lake Helen Christmas Concerts on Sunday, December 11 at 3 p.m. and 7
p.m. in the City Hall Auditorium.
3:30 p.m., Deland's renowned male chorus, Great Expectations, with their
special Holiday music plus other favorites.
Shoestring theater, one of our tour stops, will also have live entertainment
both days at 4:30p.m. A collection of choirs will be featured each day.
